Form S-4 · Data handling
Privacy
THE SHORT VERSION: WE STORE YOUR EMAIL AND YOUR MOVE PLAN, USE THEM ONLY TO SHOW YOU YOUR CHECKLIST, AND NEVER SHARE OR SELL ANYTHING.
01
What we store
- Your email address — used only to sign you in (we email you a one-time link; there is no password).
- Your move plan: origin and destination as you typed them, your move date, whether you declared a vehicle or pets, your checklist items, and any notes you write on them.
- Your answer to the federal-address-rules question (e.g. citizen / non-citizen / a refined status). It is saved to your move plan only and used only to pick which checklist items appear.
02
What we never do
- We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer your data to anyone.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. The only cookies are the essential ones that keep you signed in.
- We do not use your data for anything except showing you your own checklist.
03
Where it lives
- Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres, hosted in the United States) under row-level security: your rows are readable and writable by your account only.
- Sign-in emails are delivered by Supabase's email service.
04
Address suggestions
- When you type an address on the Bill of Lading, the text you typed is sent to two free public geocoders to power suggestions and standardization: the US Census Bureau Geocoder and Photon (an OpenStreetMap service by Komoot). We send only the address text — never your name, email, or status answer. We don't control those services; they receive the lookup like any website you'd search an address on.
05
Your controls
- Striking off or deleting checklist items deletes them.
- To delete your account and everything attached to it, contact us at the address below and we'll remove it.
- You can use the app fully without disclosing anything about your situation in the US — choose “prefer not to say.”
06
The fine print
- Settled provides general information, not legal, tax, or immigration advice. Deadlines and requirements vary by state and individual situation — for immigration matters, consult a licensed attorney or DOJ-accredited representative.
- Settled is not directed at children under 13.
- If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
